Your horse can be a best friend, companion, and confidante. Treat him with kindness and respect and he will return your love, confidence, and respect ten times over. Lisa and Linda Sixty, a daughter and mother team, have believed in this statement for the 30 years they have worked together. They have a strong theoretical understanding of horse and student training. Their experience covers 30 years of communicating effectively with their riders. They are devoted to their student's progression of learning. Safety comes first, fun second, and anything else is considered a bonus.
Sixty Equestrian Center is an English riding school specializing in dressage and hunter style jumping. Dressage is an Olympic sport involving horses, people, and music. In this fascinating sport, the horse and rider work together to present the horse's natural ability to move rhythmically under the guidance of the rider. As a team, they work to present a beautiful picture of horse and rider. Hunt seat jumping is a system of negotiating a course of obstacles or fences using the horse's natural style, grace, and precision. The goals are to train the rider to perform with a fluid beauty which allows the rider to demonstrate the athleticism and boldness of the horse.
The Sixty Equestrian Center is open seven days a week and is fully lit for evening and early morning lessons. The Sixty Family lives on the premises and watches over the herd with loving care. All of us welcome drop-in guests who are interested in meeting the four hoofed companions.
